The Tampa Bay area leads the State of Florida in number of children entering the foster care system. That means, every day in our community there are on average 9 children removed from their homes due to abuse, abandonment, or neglect. Some children are placed with family members, some neighbors, some foster families, while others end up sleeping in office buildings while authorities find an available home.
The hope found in the Gospel of Jesus can change the future of each of these children. And while not every Calvary member is called to welcome a child into their home, every member can be involved.

Guardian ad Litems serve as volunteer advocates dedicated to looking out for the best interest of children in the foster care system. With just a few hours dedicated each month, you can make a life-long impact on a child.
Foster families with a support team are ten times more likely to make it past year one. Dropping off a meal, helping with a yard project, or faithfully praying can be a game-changer for a foster family.
