WHAT TO BRING TO FAMILY CAMP
CLOTHING: Plan to bring enough clothes and appropriate clothes for hanging out around camp and for the activities you choose. We will be doing lake activities, rock climbing, and hiking, so you will want to make sure you are comfortable and appropriate for all activities. At night, it usually cools off some as we sit around the fire for our messages, so be prepared.
SHOES: Flip flops are great around camp, but you will also need close-toed and closed-heeled shoes for rafting, hiking and family challenges. You will want to bring a couple of pairs of shoes in the event that we get wet unexpectedly.
SWIMWEAR: You will need to have swimwear for the lake and other water activities – this is family camp, so please plan with modesty in mind.
We recommend packing a plastic bag for wet items, like clothing or towels.
SLEEPING: Sleeping Bag and Pillow are your responsibility – GTD will be supplying tents and cots for everyone (you are welcome to bring your own if you desire).
HYGIENE: All toiletries are your responsibility and that includes towels (for bathing and for down at the lake).
It is recommended to remember sunscreen and bug spray.
DON’T FORGET: Your BIBLE, Notebook & Pen!
EXTRA COSTS: You are responsible for your expenses to and from the camp site. Once at camp, all meals are provided from dinner on Wednesday through breakfast on Sunday. The only additional costs depend on what extra activities you plan to participate in.

FAQ’s
Who can attend Family Camp?
Any family can join us for Family Camp. You can attend as Dad with kids, Mom with kids, Dad and Mom with kids, Husband and Wife with no kids, but we will not allow you to send just your kids…that’s not cool.
Where is camp located?
We will be camping at the Chilhowee Group Camp just outside of Benton, TN.
3171 US-64, Benton, TN 37307
What type of bathrooms and showers will we have?
Great news!!! We have your standard pit-style toilets at our campsite (like a national park), but we also have flushable toilets only a hundred yards away at the lake. There are also hot showers there by the lake, as well as the tent showers that GTD will set up at camp. This is a major win for those that attended last year.
