Prison & Addiction

Hope House Calvary (HHC) provides housing, mentoring, and Biblical support and guidance to women transitioning out of prison. The program is designed to help participants break the cycle of returning to prison or returning to the patterns of their “old life”. HHC is a holistic, Christ-centered ministry offering housing, financial aid, support, and mentoring to women.
The key to the success of a woman coming out of prison is her support team. These women volunteer to surround HHC women with love, support, and guidance. Through these relationships a bond is formed that gives HHC women hope that they too, can lead a well-grounded, healthy lifestyle. Support teams meet with women on a regular basis and help evaluate their progress. From their teams, HHC women learn skills in decision-making, relationship formation and restoration, accountability and responsibility, while simultaneously gaining lasting friendships and mentors. These relationships help ensure that the move to independence is truly a “new start” with a different outcome for the women and their families.
