Next Steps

What makes Calvary a family? It’s our unity in faith, purpose, and commitment. At Calvary, we want you to know our arms are open to you, and you don’t have to walk alone! We will answer your questions, help you navigate through difficult circumstances in your life, and point you toward the grace, mercy, and forgiveness of Jesus. If you’d like to join the Calvary family, we’re here to help you discover and  take your next steps.

Starting Point Dinner

The first step to learn more about Calvary and how you can get connected is to attend Starting Point. Starting Point is offered on a regular basis.  It is a place for those who are new to ask questions, meet other members of the Calvary family, and get plugged into a group!

Groups

Next, we want to help you get connected in a group. When people get connected in a group, the church moves from feeling like a large “event” to feeling more like a real family. We believe that getting connected in a group is vital, because that is the environment where you make lasting friendships, study the Bible, find support for life’s difficult times, and encourage others!

Covenant Membership

If you’d like to join the Calvary family, you’re invited to Calvary’s Covenant Membership seminars where we explain who we are, what we’re doing and how you can be part of it all. Covenant Membership will help you:

  • Define your relationship with God.
  • Understand why church membership is important.
  • Learn how to become a member of Calvary.
  • Find out how to get connected at Calvary.
  • Learn how to grow in your spiritual life.

Get Baptized

Finally, take the next step by getting baptized. The decision to follow Jesus IS a personal one, but it should NOT be a private one. Jesus encourages us to let others know about our decision to follow Him. He tells us, “Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven.” (Matthew 10:32, NIV) Once you’ve made the decision to follow Jesus in private, let others know about that choice. Are you ready to publicly declare your love for Jesus?

Baptism is a Symbol of…

Jesus’ Death

Baptism is the biblical way to tell the people around you that you believe Jesus died on the cross as a penalty for your sin, and that you accept and trust Him for your forgiveness.

Your New Life

Baptism is a symbol of a fresh start, a changed life and a cleansed heart. The Bible says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
