    Dear Calvary family,
What a difference a month makes! Few of us could have predicted even a few short days ago that we would be walking through this unprecedented situation together. But we are ready for it! This is why you build your house on a solid foundation. This is why we put our trust in the Lord.
I am so sorry that we cannot meet with you in person on a weekly basis for worship, but I am so grateful that through the means of technology we are able to stay connected and worship together online.
Schedule Update: In accordance with the requests from all of our government leaders we are extending Calvary’s “no gathering” policy indefinitely. We anticipate that this will extend at least through the month of April. You can stay abreast of all the latest information on our website at Calvary.us  We are continually updating our home page with the latest information.
Our Sunday Schedule is being modified just a bit. Our services on Sunday will be aired at 9:30am, 11:30am, and 6:00pm. Each service has live hosts interacting with anyone who has a need or a question. Please note we have moved the 2nd service back to 11:30, to allow us more time to interact with people online at 9:30, which has been our largest audience. Of course, after 9:30, the service is posted on Facebook, YouTube, and on our website. You can watch it at any time that is convenient for you.
Easter Week: In addition to the services on Easter Sunday at 9:30am, 11:30am, and 6:00pm, we will post a special Easter week devotional each day at 8:00am from me. I want to walk with you and your family through this very special week together. There will also be online devotionals that you can use to prepare your heart for Easter weekend.
On Good Friday we will broadcast a special live service at 12:00 noon. This will be a Good Friday communion service. You will need to prepare the communion elements yourself. It’s all right, just go ahead and get bread, if you can find unleavened bread in the store that will seem more authentic, but use whatever you can. Be ready in your own home with the bread and the juice and we will observe it together on that special day.
We aren’t going to be missing Easter, we will be celebrating more than ever. Our hope is that our Savior always triumphs in the end. Our trust is in his resurrection and our hope is in our risen Savior. Make this the Easter that you and your loved ones will never forget. Lean into it. Accept the hardships. Perhaps God is trying to show us something we have never seen before. Don’t miss it!
With the spread of the coronavirus has come new opportunities to demonstrate compassion. We have expanded our programs to help feed people in need and share the love of Christ in our community, as well as, continuing to distribute food throughout our Community Center (with greatly modified procedures so as to abide by all CDC guidelines). If you are looking for ways to get involved, we are in great need of food donations. To see a list of items to donate, visit Calvary.us/FoodPantry. Donations can be dropped off at any campus from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Wednesdays. If you are looking for ways to serve in your neighborhood, don’t forget to check out Calvary.us/BeTheChurch for ideas.
Finally, I want to thank all of you who have been so faithfully supporting Calvary during this time. It has humbled me and overwhelmed me, that in the midst of these difficult days so many of you continue to faithfully give to the Lord to support the work of His church and through His church. You can give online at Calvary.us/Give or of course you can also mail your check and even bring it by our Clearwater office where there is a special deposit location.
We may be facing a difficult month ahead, but our God is with us. He is alive and in His strength we can endure and we can overcome together. I love you and hope to see you all very soon.
