First Things – August 1
The first of August means many things are gearing back up for a new season of ministry at Calvary.
This coming Sunday, August 4th is a big day. Sunday night is our Vision Summit. We are inviting all ministry volunteers and leaders from across all three campuses to join together on our Clearwater campus for a time of worship and exhortation. This is an important night where I get to speak to our leaders and volunteers directly and talk about what’s next at Calvary. I hope you will consider being there Sunday night at 6:00pm. Following the event, we will have light desserts and a time of fellowship.
As an extra treat, we are welcoming back home Bradley Noblitt as our guest worship leader at the Clearwater campus this weekend. Bradley and Caitlin and their beautiful family served at Calvary for over 5 years before heading off to Arkansas about 2½ years ago. Sunday will be their first time back and Bradley will be leading Sunday morning and then again at our Vision Summit that night, along with the worship leaders from all our campuses.
I will be sharing a special announcement about the future direction of Calvary’s worship ministry that night. You won’t want to miss it.
We will also begin a new series of teaching from 1 Corinthians 9, entitled Whatever It Takes. This is an important series that I think will have a big impact on your life and on our church.
On Sunday, August 18th we have our Group Connect Event which is the perfect time to find a Community Group and get connected at Calvary. Following the Sunday services at each campus, you will have the opportunity to meet group leaders and learn more about how you can get connected.
Our normal Wednesday night programming resumes on August 21st. The links below show an overview of times and ministries meeting at each campus:
Finally, at the end of the month, we have another Beach Baptism on August 25th. If you have trusted Christ as your Savior and are ready to be baptized, this is a perfect opportunity! Register here.
We’re going to wind up the summer in a big way at Calvary and I hope you will be a part of it all. I hope to see you this weekend.
