First Things – February 1
While the rest of the nation recovers from the polar vortex, things certainly seem to be warming up around Calvary. We are still basking in the glow of 44 people being baptized last weekend across our 3 campuses, and hundreds of Calvary volunteers disbursing throughout our community on Calvary Cares Day to serve others and to share the good news.
If you haven’t downloaded the 3 circles app, make sure you do that now and let’s keep sharing the good news about Jesus.
This month kicks off with our Group Connect weekend. If you aren’t connected through a Group at Calvary, we want to invite and encourage you to get connected. At the conclusion of each service of February 3rd, you will have the opportunity to meet group leaders, ask questions, and find a group that fits you. All Groups listings are available online at Calvary.us/Groups.
I’ll also be kicking off a new series of teaching through the book of Colossians. We’re calling the series Enough: Why Jesus is All You Need. So many times we are deceived into thinking that the answers to our problems and the source of our happiness lies somewhere else. We think we need Jesus AND something else. But Jesus is enough. His power is sufficient. Join us for this important series that examines how Jesus really is enough for us to have peace with God, fulfill our purpose, and discover a life that really matters.
I’m also excited about our COLLIDE weekend for students at Calvary. It is February 16th and 17th at Word of Life in Hudson, FL. Join with me in praying for our students and their leaders as they learn how to “hit pause” and spend time growing in their relationship with God. Students can register at Calvary.us/Collide.
I hope to see you this weekend and all month long at Calvary.
