Summer is in full swing at Calvary. I’ve enjoyed preaching for the last two weekends at our Seminole and East Lake campuses. This weekend, July 7th, I’ll be back at Clearwater preaching to all 3 campuses for a very special patriotic weekend. Join us as we celebrate our freedoms, thank our veterans, and thank God for His grace upon our nation. We will also have a special call to prayer for our nation in all of our services. This will be a great way to conclude the July 4th festivities.

We have scheduled a Special Called Church Conference for Sunday night, July 7th at 6:00pm at our East Lake Campus. This is a formal church business session called in accordance with our bylaws. The purpose of the meeting will be to receive a motion on our East Lake construction project. The motion will call for the approval of a final construction budget and approval to enter into a construction contract. We will present the overall financials for the project and ask for approval to use a $3 million dollar credit line as necessary for the completion of the project. It is our goal to completely pay for the project during the 2020-2022 window, but temporary short-term financing may be needed to complete the project on schedule. If you are interested in hearing the details of the proposal, please plan to attend. All church members are invited and encouraged to attend.

One of the great opportunities of every summer is our summer camps for children and students.

The WinShape Camps for Kids will be July 15-19. WinShape is for kids who completed kindergarten – 8th grade. WinShape Camps for Communities combines sports, recreation, arts, Bible study and worship into one unforgettable week. Register or sponsor a child to attend camp at Calvary.us/WinShape.

Pray for our students as they depart for the Generate Summer Camp for Students July 15th-19th at Lookout Mountain, Georgia. Pray for safe travels and that they will keep their hearts open to the work that God will be doing there. Click here to sponsor a student to attend camp.

Finally, mark your calendars for Sunday, August 4th at 6:00pm to attend our church wide Vision Summit. I want to invite leaders and volunteers from across all 3 of our campuses to join me for a special night of worship and sharing as I use the opportunity to talk to you about what is coming next at Calvary. We will be sharing some very important information and this gathering of leaders helps kick off a new season of ministry at Calvary.

Have a Happy 4th of July, and I hope to see you this coming weekend at Calvary.
