Welcome Summer! As usual, summertime is filled with some huge opportunities at Calvary to connect and serve.

I’m looking forward to teaching tomorrow as we continue our series Unsocial Media: How to Get Along in a World that Doesn’t. The title of the message this weekend is How to Look Stupid in a Hurry. A lack of self-control, a lost temper, or careless words can undo a reputation and destroy our integrity in a moment. We all struggle with controlling our words. I look forward to seeing you tomorrow as we continue this important series.

One of the most important weeks of the year at Calvary is Vacation Bible School. VBS is June 17-21 and will take place at two of our campuses. The time at the Clearwater campus is 9:00 am-12:00 pm and the Seminole campus is 6:30 pm -8:30 pm. VBS is a free event for all kids ages 4 (by 6/1) – completed 5th grade. To find more information and registration, visit Calvary.us/VBS

I’m also excited to share that Dr. Roger Gibson will be here June 27-29 for the Momentous Date Night. He will be at the Seminole campus on Thursday, the Clearwater campus on Friday, and the East Lake campus on Saturday from 7-9pm. To find more information and registration, visit Calvary.us/DateNight.

Also, coming up is our Student Summer Camp and Winshape Camp for Kids. The Student Summer Camp will be July 15-19. Find more information and registration, visit Calvary.us/StudentCamp.  Winshape Camp for kids will also be July 15-19. WinShape is for kids who have completed Kindergarten – 8th grade. WinShape Camps for Communities combines sports, recreations, arts, Bible study and worship into one unforgettable week. Find more information at Calvary.us/WinShape.

I also want to congratulate the CCHS Warrior Baseball Team on winning the FHSAA 4A State Championship!  The school offers several sports camps this summer and you can find them listed here. We have an even greater reason to celebrate what God is doing through our school as we have baptized 25 students during our chapel services since January.  We rejoice with these students and pray for them. It is exciting to hear the stories of life change and how the Spirit of God is moving in the hearts of these students.

Remember, as you travel this summer, you can stay connected with us at Calvary.us and watch each weekend service through live streaming at Calvary.us/Watch. You can also stay current and continue to support the ministries of Calvary by giving through Calvary.us/give even when you’re away.
