Autumn in Florida always arrives a little late, but here we are finally enjoying the beautiful fall weather, and we have a great month ahead at Calvary!
If you didn’t hear the news of our exciting announcement regarding our new Director of Worship Ministries/Creative Arts, Stephen Christian, check out that story here. You may also want to get familiar with Stephen’s 2017 solo album Wildfires. We’re very excited to welcome this talented singer, songwriter, and worship leader to our Calvary family in just a few weeks.
November is the month when we highlight our mission and our x150 vision at Calvary. We’re hosting a number of church planters throughout the month that Calvary is supporting. On the weekend of November 11, you will hear from many of them, including Josh Miller, who is planting a new church in Charlottesville, Virginia to reach students at the University of Virginia. On November 18th, my good friend and nationally known leader, Vance Pittman will be our guest. Vance is the dynamic pastor of the Hope Church in Las Vegas.
This is a great opportunity for me to thank you for your financial support of our x150 vision. Your faithfulness to believe in this vision of multiplying by 150 churches by 2025 is why we can invest in these young leaders and why we are seeing new churches planted nationally and internationally. Thank you for believing in the vision of multiplication!
Here are a few actions you can take this month to personally support the mission and x150 vision of our church:

    1. You can learn more about this vision, give, and get recent updates at calvary.us/x150.
    2. You can commit to praying for and investing in a specific area of missions at calvary.us/betheanswer.
    3. You can also see stories, share photos, and stay up to date by following @CalvaryOnMission on social media.

Thanksgiving week is always a special week when we remember the command of the apostle to “give thanks in everything; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
We will have Communion Services across all three of our campuses on Sunday evening, November 18th. This is always such a meaningful time as we begin the holiday season at Calvary. I also look forward to sharing my annual message Come Before Winter on Sunday, November 25th.
I hope to see you at Calvary this Sunday as I teach an important message that will continue our focus on missions. Be sure to stop by the lobbies at all three campuses to find out how you can get involved in what God is doing locally, nationally, through church revitalizations, and internationally!
