Calvary Students Life – April 23
Today is a historical day! Actually, every day has some sort of history to it I’m sure. But here goes the April 23rd “Fact of the Day”. On this day in 1564 William Shakespeare was born. He went on to write 38 plays and invent dozens of English words. I figured this nugget of history was quite fitting since we have so many students involved in dramas/musicals at their schools right now, and students are continuing to make up new English words even to this day. Our Clearwater students had a great performance of “The Sound of Music” and Calvary’s production of “My Fair Lady” is happening tonight and tomorrow in St. Pete. What a great way to use the gifts and abilities that God has given us.
We are continuing in our series “70 Times7” this week at each of our campuses. Each of us will find frustration and difficulty with other people. It’s a given. Whenever there are two sinners together, there is going to be conflict. How do we handle it? Shut them out? Push them away? Sweep it under the rug? Get them back? Most of us have tried these and a plethora of other ideas – all to no avail. What does Jesus have to say about the forgiveness we are to offer those that offend us? Join on this Wednesday and bring some friends with you.
Dinner is from 6pm – 6:30pm // Service is from 6:30pm – 8:00pm

What is Truth? – This Friday
Friday, April 27th from 7-9PM, Dr. Del Tackett is going to share a challenge of why Truth is so important – a FREE event. He will be addressing the question, “What if Genesis ISN’T history?” This event is a whole family opportunity – middle schoolers, high schoolers and college students will benefit from hearing this challenging seminar. This night is even going to be beneficial for parents and grandparents as it will challenge us to think about our faith, and see that it isn’t as “blind” as most think. Make plans to join us in the worship center on the Clearwater Campus for this great opportunity. Check out www.calvary.us/truth for more info.
Graduate Sunday – May 27th
Graduation is such an emotional rollercoaster. There is joy and excitement, sadness and anxiety, anticipation and frustration. There is no easy way to engage this season of life. While the students are laughing and wishing it away, parents are often times holding on to every last moment. We want to be a part of this special time for your family. Calvary Church wants to extend our support and encouragement with you as our family. On Sunday, May 27th, we will recognize our seniors during both morning services at each of our campuses. We would love for your family to be recognized. The day also provides a time of refreshments and memories for families to enjoy together. To register, visit www.calvary.us/seniorsunday. This will help us to keep track of info better. All pictures can be emailed to Pastor Justin at email@example.com.
Be on the lookout for our weekly “CALVARY STUDENTS LIFE” posts on Mondays.
-The Calvary Students Team
On Sunday mornings, our middle school students group up in the Gym and are in the midst of a study called “Shaken” by Tim Tebow. Most of us have been on the receiving end of rejection, a broken dream, or heartbreak. And while this is not an easy space to go through, when we are grounded in the truth, we can endure the tough times. Join us for this great study on Sunday mornings.
Sunday mornings, join us in the gym at 9:15 for a variety of Community Groups. We are currently in multiple studies. There are some groups walking verse by verse through Scripture while others are teaching toward specific topics like apologetics, discipleship and a study by Francis Chan “Crazy Love”.
Middle School Zip-Line Trip
Saturday, April 28th – 8:30AM – 1:00PM. $30 per person. Register or get more info at www.calvary.us/zipline
EAST LAKE CAMPUS:
On Sunday mornings, our middle school students group up in the DRIVE Garage. How can you properly read the scriptures? What principles and methods of study should you follow? What tools are available to help you? How can you grow in spiritual understanding while reading the Word of God? Join us this Sunday at 9:30 to learn more!
Sunday mornings, join us in the ELEVATE Room at 9:30 for our Community Groups. We weren’t created to be alone. Instead, God created man to live in community with each other. When God established the Church, He did so with community in mind. Join us for this study of what it means to be the Church as a community.
Sunday mornings, join us in the youth room at 9:30 for our Community Groups. We are currently working through the question, “What is discipleship?” Over the next several weeks we are going to engage in conversation and Bible Study about what it means to be a disciple of Jesus and what it means to make disciples. It’s a journey, so join us on this adventure.
