Calvary Students Life – April 9
“A PROM-posal Poem” by the Calvary Students Team
‘Tis the season for loads of PROM-posals,
most of which deserve to be stored in the garbage disposal.
It a special time where you dress up, eat out and dance all night
Just to sleep the entire next day, in order to try and feel right.
Now that it is over, don’t sit around and pout
In only two short months…school will be out!
Before we get looking too far ahead,
make sure all of your papers are written and books are read.
This Summer is going to be amazing and dope,
because you will be with us all Summer…we hope.
Keep checking our Summer activity schedule each week.
Visit calvary.us/studentsummer to take a peak.
Now this poem must end with a nice little smirk,
‘Cause your boss is looking…now get back to work!
We are continuing in our series “70 Times7” this week at each of our campuses. We realized this past week that Jesus is the source of forgiveness. This week, we are going to bring it close to home. As you are thinking of a friend to invite this week, maybe you need to even think about a friend that you need to forgive this week, or even ask forgiveness from a friend.
Dinner is from 6pm – 6:30pm // Service is from 6:30pm – 8:00pm
Check out the information below for Campus Specific needs.
Be on the lookout for our weekly “CALVARY STUDENTS LIFE” posts on Mondays.
-The Calvary Students Team
On Sunday mornings, our middle school students group up in the Gym and are in the midst of a study called “Shaken” by Tim Tebow. Most of us have been on the receiving end of rejection, a broken dream, or heartbreak. And while this is not an easy space to go through, when we are grounded in the truth, we can endure the tough times. Join us for this great study on Sunday mornings.
Sunday mornings, join us in the gym at 9:15 for a variety of Community Groups. We are currently in multiple studies. There are some groups walking verse by verse through Scripture while others are teaching toward specific topics like apologetics, discipleship and a study by Francis Chan “Crazy Love”.
EAST LAKE CAMPUS:
On Sunday mornings, our middle school students group up in the DRIVE Garage. How can you properly read the scriptures? What principles and methods of study should you follow? What tools are available to help you? How can you grow in spiritual understanding while reading the Word of God? Join us this Sunday at 9:30 to learn more!
Sunday mornings, join us in the ELEVATE Room at 9:30 for our Community Groups. We weren’t created to be alone. Instead, God created man to live in community with each other. When God established the Church, He did so with community in mind. Join us for this study of what it means to be the Church as a community.
High School Pool Party
High School students are invited to the Everts’ House (address will be sent by text) this Saturday, April 14th from 5-8PM. Pizza will be served. Guys bring drinks and girls bring dessert.
Sunday mornings, join us in the youth room at 9:30 for our Community Groups. We are currently working through the question, “What is discipleship?” Over the next several weeks we are going to engage in conversation and Bible Study about what it means to be a disciple of Jesus and what it means to make disciples. It’s a journey, so join us on this adventure.
