Calvary Students Life – May 13
Happy Mothers’ Day again! Shouldn’t we thank Mom more than just one day a year. I mean it’s only because of mothers that we even live to see the other 364 days of the year. It is coming close to the end of the school year – parties to attend, people to see, projects to submit, and many other busy things. And who is it that helps us get it all done and get where we need to be? Mom. So mom, here is to you for one more day. Happy Mothers’ Day Part II. Check out what is happening this week in Calvary Students.
Wednesday Night –
We are going to end the school year by walking through a series called “UnSocial Media”. Our focus will be the fact that God created us for community and real/healthy relationships. We so often forgo on building real relationships and settling for the superficial “appearance” of a relationship through social media. There is also a focus where we will speak directly to the habits and choices that we form and make through social media. We will gather at each of our campuses on Wednesdays from 6-8PM.
High School Movie Night – This coming Wednesday, May 15th the high school students of Calvary Church have the privilege of attending a private screening of the movie “Unplanned“. This movie was released nationally last month and highlights the reality of abortion. It is a movie that pulls no punches when it comes to abortion and can be graphic at times. The movie is rated “R” for this reason. There is a review that you can see online HERE. In order to attend, you need to complete a registration form HERE. We will pull out from the Clearwater Campus Student Center at 6PM, or you can meet us at the AMC Woodlands theater by 6:30. This is a FREE event and we want you to consider joining us. We believe it would be good for parents and students to attend as a way of fostering a conversation about the film. If you will not be participating, regular programming will be offered at all campuses.
Check out the information below for Campus Specific needs.
