Calvary Students Life – October 1
Fall is in the air. It is kind of hard to see, but it is there – just behind the 97 degree temperatures and the daily rain showers. Even though it may not feel like Fall, the time is upon us. This year is moving by so quickly. Caution – don’t let the craziness of Fall (sports, schoolwork, projects, work, social activities) keep you from being involved with God and God’s people. We are here for you.
Wednesday Night – HOT TOPICS
We are launching a new series for October called “HOT TOPICS”. We want to take the next four weeks to look at what the Bible has to say in regard to topics that we are seeing in the news, media, and trending in student culture. Invite some friends to come join you at one of our three campuses.
Dinner is from 6pm – 6:30pm // Service is from 6:30pm – 8:00pm
Check out the information below for Campus Specific needs.
Campus Specific Events
Make sure to check out the Campus Specific Events section below to keep up with all of the activities we have planned for the month. It will always come below this section and is a quick resource for you to see what is happening for your ministry at your campus.
Be on the lookout for our weekly “CALVARY STUDENTS LIFE” posts on Mondays.
-The Calvary Students Team
On Sunday mornings, our middle school students group up in the Gym before they head to their groups which are focused on their grade/gender. We have some amazing leaders pouring into middle school students during the 9:15 hour every Sunday morning.
Sunday mornings, join us in the gym at 9:15 for a variety of Groups. We are currently in multiple studies. There are some groups walking verse by verse through Scripture while others are teaching toward specific topics like apologetics and discipleship. We take this time to dig deeper into God’s Word and build healthy relationships.
High School Serve Day
This Saturday, October 6th, high school students from the Clearwater Campus are invited to help Metropolitan Ministries with some yard work. We will leave the SMC at 8AM and return by 1PM. Wear clothes to work outside in (modest), gloves, and closed shoes. Register by texting Pastor Justin. Only 12 spots available.
EAST LAKE CAMPUS:
On Sunday mornings, our middle school meet in Groups in the DRIVE Garage. How can you properly read the scriptures? What principles and methods of study should you follow? What tools are available to help you? How can you grow in spiritual understanding while reading the Word of God? Join us this Sunday at 9:30 to learn more!
Sunday mornings, join us in the ELEVATE Room at 9:30 for our Groups. We weren’t created to be alone. Instead, God created man to live in community with each other. When God established the Church, He did so with community in mind. Join us for this study of what it means to be the Church as a community.
Sunday mornings, join us in the youth room at 9:30 for our Groups. We are currently working through the question, “What is discipleship?” Over the next several weeks we are going to engage in conversation and Bible Study about what it means to be a disciple of Jesus and what it means to make disciples. It’s a journey, so join us on this adventure.
