About the ministry
Join the Movement
This is Jesus’ mission—and it continues today. The local church is God’s plan to reach the world. Imagine a movement where believers are equipped to use their everyday work rhythms for evangelism and discipleship.
At Calvary, we’re building a workplace ministry to train and empower you to take the gospel where you already are—your office, business, or job site. Because when the workplace is transformed, churches are strengthened, new churches are planted, and the world is reached.
Are you ready to be part of this movement? Let’s advance the gospel—right where we work.

About Carl Porter

Originally from England, Carl Porter moved to Clearwater in December to serve as a Pastoral Resident in Workplace Discipleship at Calvary Church.
Carl didn’t meet a Christian or hear the Gospel until his 30s. In 2010, a stranger prayed for his family, sparking a journey that led him to Christ in 2014. At the time, he worked long hours in London’s Financial District, caught in a work-hard, play-hard lifestyle that left no room for church. This experience opened his eyes to the millions living the same way—disconnected from the Gospel because no one is reaching them where they spend most of their time: the workplace.
After coming to faith, Carl was discipled through a City workplace ministry at St. Helen’s Bishopsgate, which provided daily touchpoints for spiritual growth and evangelism. This model, much like Paul’s Hall of Tyrannus in Ephesus, shaped his vision to multiply workplace ministries globally—mobilizing believers to bring the Gospel to their colleagues.
Carl and his family felt called to Clearwater to launch this ministry through Calvary Church. To continue this mission, they are raising support for their first two years of salary.
