If you are 70½ years or older, you may have the opportunity to contribute funds directly from your traditional (non-Roth) individual retirement account (IRA) to a qualifying charitable organization. If you are interested in giving to Calvary Church from your traditional IRA account, your IRA account administrator can provide information about making a qualified charitable IRA distribution. Reach out to finance@calvary.us if you have any questions.

Gifts of certain types of non-cash items that have appreciated in value while you have owned them offer potentially significant tax advantages. When you give appreciated assets such as real estate, publicly traded stock, or virtual currency that you have held for more than one year, you can typically qualify for a deduction based on the full fair market value of the asset given, without having to pay income tax on the appreciation of the asset. Reach out to finance@calvary.us if you have any questions.

Giving to a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) offers an effective way to manage your charitable giving while maximizing your tax benefits. Some advantages include receiving immediate tax benefits, flexibility of time and control over disbursements, creating a lasting legacy, and growing your donations. You may set up your own DAF at your financial institution to give to Calvary. Or if you prefer, you may contribute directly to the church’s own DAF at the National Christian Foundation, which streamlines the giving process. Reach out to finance@calvary.us if you have any questions.
