About Calvary East Lake

Welcome to Calvary East Lake. Our location was the first location to be launched out of our Clearwater location, when 100 families caught the vision to start a new work of God in the East Lake community.

We are located right in the heart of the East Lake community and are conveniently located right off of East Lake road (1190 East Lake Road South), making it a short drive for those in both North Pinellas and South Pasco County. When you arrive at the church, you will see that we truly are a multigenerational church that truly loves one another. Our hope is that when you visit you will feel like this is a place you can call home and a people that you can call family.

Our worship style is unique in that it brings a balance to the contemporary along with traditional hymns and speaks to all ages.

Children and Student Ministries

Children’s Ministry

We provide dynamic programs for children 6 weeks-5th grade in our Family Ministries area. Every Sunday your children will be engaged in Bible teaching through age-appropriate, enriching activities in a safe and nurturing environment.

Exciting Adventures

Student Ministry

Students 6th-12th grade will connect in meaningful Bible teaching, discussion and prayer in safe age-graded environments at 9:00am. We encourage students to join their parents for the 11:00am worship service.

Worship, Community, and Fun!

Wednesday Night Programs

In conjunction with our adult groups, we offer ministry to preschool, elementary and middle/high school students every Wednesday night as well.

Calvary Church has been serving East Lake and neighboring communities for more than 150 years. What started as a gathering in downtown Clearwater in 1866 has turned into a body of believers that stretches across the county, the state, and around the world!

The best place to find your Starting Point at Calvary is the Connection Hub on each campus. We’d love for you to stop by as you arrive for service or right afterward. There you’ll find a friendly team ready to welcome you, answer your questions, and share simple ways you can begin building relationships at your Calvary campus. We know how important it is to find real connections and meaningful community—and we make that a priority here.

So whether you’re new to church, looking for community, or just wondering what’s next, stop by the Connection Hub. We can’t wait to meet you and help you discover your starting point at Calvary Church!

Come as you are! We do not have any kind of expressed dress code as long as you’re not wearing anything indecent or offensive.

Come early and stop by our East Lake Café for a free cup of coffee and some delicious pastries or breakfast sandwiches for purchase. Café seating is available both inside and outside.

We have parking on both the East and West entrances of the church. If you are a first time guest with us, we have parking on both sides of the campus designated for you. When you park, you will be welcomed by our parking team and if needed, we have golf carts at the ready to give you a lift from your car to the entrance doors.

Ready to dive deeper? Visit our Connection Hub after service to find out how to join a group and get more involved. We provide groups on Sundays, Wednesday evenings and several other times throughout the week. There’s a place for everyone to connect! You can find a group HERE today.

For more than 150 years, Calvary Church has been intrinsically connected to our community. Throughout the year we hold multiple events to engage our surrounding community. We also connect with local schools and other community partners in various ways.
